Une élégante coupelle assiette vide-poches en laiton finement martelé à la main, par Hans Przyrembel. Sur 3 petits pieds arrondis. Monogramme d'artiste HP en dessous, ainsi que désignation "Handarbeit" (Travail à la main). Hauteur environ 3,5 cm, diamètre environ 15 cm.

Hans Przyrembel , Leipzig, artist monogram HP and inscription "Handarbeit", brass-driven, round-shaped on circular feet, fine hammered decoration, H approx. 3.5 cm, D approx. 15 cm, 1930s, Provenance: Giorgio Silzer Collection. His education began with the preliminary classes given by László Moholy-Nagy. During the last two years at the Bauhaus, he worked closely with Marianne Brandt on the design of modern lamps. He then took over Wolfgang Tümpel's workshop in Halle and worked with the previous owner before he built his own workshop in Leipzig in 1929. There, he created lamps and other pieces.

The brand name he created was ha-p-er lights. In 1932 he passed the masters examination as a goldsmith and silversmith. Some designs by Przyrembel are still used, for example, a 1924 designed tea-caddy is still available, as is a pendant lamp designed by Przyrembel in 1928. He is considered one of the masters of Art Déco metalwork and his recognition spans worldwide.

The prominent collector Giorgio Silzer , born in 1920 in Upper Slesia and died in 2014 at the age of 94, was the solo violin at the Berlin Deutsche Opera House. In addition to his violinist career, he pursued his personal passion: the collection of Art Nouveau and Art Deco objects. The Collection Silzer is one of the leading private collections in Germany and in Europe. Since the mid-1970s, Giorgio Silzer made part of his vast collections available to the public and helped to make Art Nouveau and Art Deco known in a more widespread and recognized way.

Selected items from the Giorgio Silzer Collection are part of the permanent collections of the following museums. The Art Nouveau collection of the Grassi Museum of Applied Arts in Leipzig (Germany).

The Metalwork Collection of the Kreis Museum in Zons (Germany). The Glass Collection of the Augustinian Museum in Freiburg (Germany). The Bautzen Museum in Bautzen (Germany).
